* Note: Nick Massi had also briefly played with the early Four Seasons, sadly Nick passed away in 2000 and will be greatly missed by many.
The Four Seasons were formed in 1961 with Frankie Valli as the lead singer, Bob Gaudio on keyboards, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar and Nick Massi on bass guitar who was replaced in 1964 by Joe Long on bass guitar and back-up vocals. This became the "definative" Four Seasons concert line up: Valli, Gaudio, DeVito and Long. Frankie Valli of course later went onto a very successful solo career and still preforms many of the Four Seasons hits in concert today.
1 Comments:
Did you know that Joe Long was not inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the other 4 Seasons? Yes its true, they kept him out on some silly technicality. If you feel like most Seasons fans then please take a moment to let the Hall of Fame in Cleveland know how you feel. It is like inducting the Beatles with Pete Best as their drummer instead of Ringo, not to mention the changing line up of the Stone and other bands. So please let the good people in Cleveland how you feel. Joe Long belongs in the R&R Hall of Fame with his fellow band members.
